"Cider, sawdust, and I go back to when I was a young lad." - Brian

Every year my family celebrated the apple harvest by pressing cider. The annual gathering and the hum of the machine has always warmed my heart.

My grandfather was a cabinet builder and my father taught wood shop in the high school for a few years, so saw dust was a common thing to be brushing off my shirt before sitting down to dinner. I learned from two patient and skilled men about the beauty of wood and the appreciation of craftsmanship.

I observed that all cider presses shared the same problem, storage. When I took on this challenge of designing a new press the idea burst from the planks of wood. The Applin' press and the cable bin system took shape. We also wanted to help share the joy of pressing cider through our rental option, and so, Cider Press Northwest was born.

Being able to combine two of my passions into one could not have been a better fit. I know my father and grandfather would be proud.
